As a part of the Tennessee Career Center System, the Tennessee Career Center at Cookeville combines the efforts of the Tennessee state government, the county governments of the Upper Cumberland and local human resource organizations to establish a skilled work force development system. With the help of area businesses and community organizations, the Tennessee Career Center at Cookeville seeks to improve the value of an already strong work force.

The Career Center focuses its efforts on serving two distinct customers: people seeking jobs and employers looking for help. For job hunters, the Center provides services such as job search help, career counseling, workshops and skill assessment tests.

For the private sector, the Career Center can assist with managing interviews, publicizing open positions and acting as a central location for recruiting new employees. Unlike previous employment agencies, the Career Center is “employer driven,” working closely with businesses to help them find skilled, knowledgeable employees.
